The affected users are able to access Google Drive, but are seeing error messages and/or other unexpected behavior. Some users of the Google Drive Sync client will be receiving the error message "Sorry, Backup and Sync needs to quit." We will provide an update as soon as possible.

Sending and receiving attachments is an important part of email exchanges. While Google Drive offers a convenient way to share files of any size, sometimes you need to receive large files as direct email attachments. Starting today, you will be able to receive emails of up to 50MB directly in your bMail account.

Note: Sending size limits will remain the same at 25MB; however, just as before, you can use Google Drive to send larger attachments.

A common use case for Google Drive users is to download a file from their Drive to modify it locally, and then to re-upload the new version. That’s why Google has introduced a change in Drive to deduplicate files which were uploaded in this way.

Third-party mail apps like Apple Mail and Thunderbird―as well as other applications that use mail scopes to access a user’s mail―will stop syncing data upon password reset until a new OAuth 2.0 token has been granted.
